Writing Center Mission

The Writing Center supports on-campus and online students in all disciplines. Our writing consultants engage our students by focusing on ideas, organization, development, argument, synthesis, grammar, editing, and other individual writing concerns.

The Writing Center staff supports students as they engage in active learning processes to develop their writing skills and self-confidence. Students can receive support during any stage of the writing process: brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising a paper.

Our writing consultants encourage and empower student writers, help decrease their writing anxiety, and teach them skills to effectively write while at Morehouse and beyond.
